Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor in Michigan for the Evening Shift (typical hours 1:00 PM–9:30 PM) with no weekends or holidays unless needed for special projects. The role focuses on education for colleagues, trainees, and new hires and coverage for other supervisors as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years in Sterile Processing, and certification in Central Sterile Processing, with preferred program graduate and professional

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing.
• Certification in Central Sterile Processing.
• Graduate from a sterile processing program (preferred).
• Membership in Central Sterile Processing Professional Organization (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with Surgery regarding OR instrumentation, case cart needs and reviews daily schedule for coordination of instrumentation needs.
• Contributes to OR efficiency by understanding sterilization and disinfection concepts and identifying process improvements.
• Oversees shift operations and resolves problems.
• Facilitates scheduling, staffing and daily adjustments based on department needs and coordinates daily assignment work to staff.
• Facilitates workflow of department and instrumentation turnover by coordinating cleaning, processing and sterilization of instrumentation as needed.
• Develops daily, monthly and/or yearly measurable goals.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Certification in Central Sterile Processing

Graduate from a sterile processing program

Membership in Central Sterile Processing Professional Organization

2 years of experience in Sterile Processing department

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Evening Shift Description: Position Title: Sterile Processing Supervisor Typical hours 1p-9:30p; variable No working weekends or holidays unless we have a special project and would rotate resource call with the other supervisors Primary function is to support education of all colleagues, trainees and new hire orientees. Will also cover other supervisors when off on PTO as needed.
