Job summary

Sauk Prairie Healthcare in Wisconsin seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, prepare, sterilize, and distribute instruments for the operating rooms, emergency services, and clinics. You will also assist with room turnover and terminal cleaning of the OR suite.

The role requires a high school diploma and prior instrument processing experience; certification in Sterile Processing within two years is required. This is a full-time position with regular weekday hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in instrument processing is required.
• Sterile Processing certification must be obtained within the first 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and prepare instruments for the operating room and other departments.
• Wash, assemble, and sterilize instrument sets and maintain sterilization records.
• Transport sterile items to departments and assist with room turnover.
• Terminally clean the OR suite daily and maintain sterilization equipment knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of chemicals and disinfectants used in the surgery area.
• Ensure daily workflow processes support sterile and accurate tray/case completion.
