Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Assistant to maintain sterilization standards and ensure timely instrument readiness for surgical services. You will work closely with OR staff to supply sterile trays and equipment, and help sustain smooth operations between OR and Sterile Processing.

Minimum education is a high school diploma with at least two years in a hospital setting. BLS certification is required, and the role is non-exempt under FLSA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Collaborate with OR staff to provide timely sterile trays and instruments.
• Maintain workflow between OR and Sterile Processing with strong customer service.
