Job summary

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the Downtown Jacksonville campus. This full-time night shift position runs 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. You will ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and available for patient care.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and 1–2 years of instrument and surgical instrumentation experience. Join a trusted health system with a history of excellent care in Northeast Florida.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–2 years instrument experience.
• 1–2 years surgical instrumentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization.
• Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods.
• Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices.
• Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
