Job summary

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the Downtown Jacksonville campus. This full-time night shift role runs Monday through Friday, 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., supporting surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient care.

Required: 1–2 years instrument experience, 1–2 years surgical instrumentation experience, and a High School Diploma. Up to $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization
• Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods
• Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices
• Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
