Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to identify, inspect, assemble and sterilize instruments and trays. You will stock supplies, train new staff, and support case cart preparation and instrument handling in a busy hospital setting.

Requires HS diploma, experience with instrument decontamination and sterilization; certification preferred. Night shift, part of the SPD team at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with ability to read, write and speak English.
• Sterile Processing Certification preferred.
• 3–6 months related experience in surgical instrumentation/sterilization.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble and package surgical instruments and trays.
• Monitor sterilizers and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Support training of new staff and ensure safety procedures.
