Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for the midshift in the Sterile Processing Department. The position is full-time with 40 hours per week and hours from 11:00am to 7:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment, and execute procedures for decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and cart setup, ensuring accurate labeling and timely distribution.

Qualifications

• GED/High School equivalent required.
• Certification: CBSPD or IAHCSMM strongly preferred.
• Two years of sterile processing or operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Execute established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization, and surgical case cart setup.
• Follow established procedures to ensure decontamination completion.
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution with accurate labeling by department.
