Job summary

LifeNet Health in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical instrument processing for our production team. This role requires adherence to quality systems and safety procedures while handling equipment with care.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include High School or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Zero years of work experience is required.
• CRCST Certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately inspects, prepares and packages all instrumentation and equipment for sterilization.
• Decontaminates all instrumentation and equipment effectively ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Stocks case carts to ensure all items are accounted for and available for processing and/or other departments as assigned. Processes and completes associated case cart documentation.
• Sterilizes all equipment ensuring the appropriate sterilization method is used and respective SOP followed. Operates Steam and EO sterilizers and accurately completes associated documentation.
• Participate in department continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned by management.
