Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Palm Beach County seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Operating Room and related departments. You will help ensure instrument sterility, operate washers, decontaminators, steam sterilizers, and manage instrument tracking per hospital policy.

The ideal candidate has prior hospital experience, is open to on‑the‑job training toward certification, and can communicate with the OR Manager.

Qualifications

• Prior hospital experience; training on the job to prepare for courses or certification.
• Operate sterile processing equipment per hospital policy (washers, decontaminators, steam sterilizers, ultrasonics, Sterrad and Steris sterilizers, heat sealers).
• Maintain sterility logs and inventory; create accurate case carts using resource maps and pick tickets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze OR schedule to identify instrument needs.
• Replace inventory and restock return supplies to maintain sterility and efficiency.
• Maintain instrument tracking software and verify instruments function properly.
• Ensure sterilization records and logs are filed and maintained.
