Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgeries. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork to support high-quality patient care.

You will clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize instrument trays, monitor cycles, document results, and collaborate with nurses and surgeons to maintain efficient operating rooms.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred.
• High School Graduate / GED required.
• (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
