Job summary

Medical City Denton is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure all surgical instruments are thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use in daily procedures.

The role requires attention to safety, organizing instrument trays, and coordinating with nurses and surgeons to support efficient surgeries. A high school diploma and 1 year of experience are preferred, with certification (CRCST/CSPDT) to be obtained within 2 years of start date.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred.
• High School Graduate / GED required.
• (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare and organize instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Work closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.
