Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 2 years of sterile processing experience or completion of an approved sterile processing/surgical technology course.
• Knowledge of sterile processing standards and infection control.
• Proficiency with medical instrument care and sterilization processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs general and specialized instrument care duties.
• Provides supplies for surgical procedures.
• Disassembles and cleans critical reusable medical equipment per MIFU.
• Packs and replenishes instrument trays according to priority.
• Performs various sterilization techniques per MIFUs and SOPs.
• Maintains documentation per regulatory requirements and SOPs.
• Demonstrates flexible scheduling and travel between facilities.
