Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for instrument sterilization and assembly. You will prepare sterile sets and case carts, ensuring accurate inventory and timely delivery within the perioperative unit.

Experience in central sterile processing is preferred; candidates with CST certification may have no experience requirements. GA employment with benefits is offered by Piedmont Healthcare system.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program or CST certificate.
• 3 years of Central Sterile experience required, or no experience if CST certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.
