Job summary

Children's Mercy KC seeks an Instrument Reprocessor to support high level disinfection and sterilization in a collaborative hospital environment in Kansas City. You will perform biological and chemical testing on HLD equipment, monitor inventories, and help maintain a safe, efficient operation aligned with our care standards.

Starting pay is $20.27/hour, with offers based on education and experience. This on-site role requires vaccinations and a commitment to patient safety and hospital policies

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of sterile technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reprocesses instruments using high level disinfection or sterilization techniques.
• Maintains an adequate supply of sterile and non-sterile supplies for the department.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of surgical instruments.
• Performs daily biological and chemical testing, changes graphs and tapes and maintains records on all sterilizers.
• Performs secretary/clerical functions.
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.
