Overview

Supervises the sterile processing staff in their technical duties in decontamination, high level disinfection (HLD), sterilization, and storage of instrumentation and equipment used in patient care. Follows regulatory standards and manufacturers instructions.

Responsibilities
  • Essential Function: Supervises staff in performance of technical duties including decontamination, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and reprocessing of reusable patient care items.
  • Essential Function: Assists with inventory maintenance of sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies, supporting safe and efficient patient care.
  • Essential Function: Follows regulatory governing standards and practices for HLD/sterilization, ensuring safe processing, handling, transport, and storage of patient care instrumentation.
  • Describe Essential Function: Performs secretary/clerical functions.
  • Describe Essential Function: Follows regulatory and industry standards ensuring maintenance of a safe environment while promoting efficiency of operations.
Qualifications
  • HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience in OR sterile processing or Central Sterile reprocessing
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician
  • One of the following: Certified Instrument Specialist, Certified Healthcare Leader, Certified Endoscope Reprocessor required upon hire
  • Employees must obtain Certified Instrument Specialist or equivalent within 730 days
  • Employees must obtain Certified Healthcare Leader or equivalent within 730 days
  • Employees must obtain Certified Endoscope Reprocessor or equivalent within 730 days
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required Upon Hire
  • Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) or Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) or Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) within 2 years of hire Required
Starting Pay

The pay range for this job begins at $23.02/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
