Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Central Sterile Technician at North Shore Medical Center, Inc. to perform sterile processing of instrumentation, decontamination, inspection, and packaging in accordance with IFU.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CRCST/CSPDT preferred, 1–2 years of experience, and ability to work night shifts. Onsite at 81 Highland Avenue with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of sterile processing principles, instrumentation, sterilization methods, and infection prevention standards.
• Proficiency in instrument assembly, packaging, sterilization, and equipment handling.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and store reusable medical devices and instruments.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and related equipment per department policies.
• Inspect instruments and equipment for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness; identify items needing repair or replacement.
• Assemble instrument trays and procedure sets according to standard listings and quality standards.
• Utilize instrument tracking systems to document processing activities and maintain traceability.
