Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilization of instruments. You will perform sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment on a busy campus.

Collaborating with Perioperative Nursing staff, you will provide sterile instrument sets and case carts to ensure a smooth workflow and superior patient service.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; CST certification preferred.
• 3 years central sterile experience required or CST certification.
• No experience required if CST certification is held.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and case carts.
• Supports consistent workflow and delivers superior customer service.

Education

H.S. Diploma or GED

Central Sterile Tech Certification

CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred

CCST - Certified Central Service Technician Preferred
