Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System in O’Fallon, IL, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments across affiliate facilities, ensuring patient safety and quality care.

The ideal candidate holds CRCST certification, a High School diploma or GED, and 12 months WI or 18 months IL sterile processing experience. Schedule is daytime, 40 hours per week, with compensation aligned to experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 12 months experience as a Sterile Processing Technician I (WI) or 18 months hospital sterile processing (IL) is required.
• CRCST certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, sterilize, and distribute sterile surgical instrumentation.
• Ensure quality assurance and identify/repair equipment failures posing risk to patients.
• Support department leadership and coordinate daily operations and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Lead conflict resolution and coaching within the sterile processing team.
