Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a Central Processing Technician II to perform decontamination, packaging, sterilization and distribution of medical and surgical supplies in a high-precision environment.

The role requires a CRCST or CSPDT certification, at least one year of relevant experience, and strong attention to detail. Excellent English communication and organizational skills are essential for coordination with department managers and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or government recognized equivalent.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
• At least 1 year experience handling sterilization and instrument decontamination.
• Ability to speak, read, write and communicate in English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, packaging, sterilization and distribution of medical/surgical supplies.
• Maintain case cart/inventory systems and par levels for operating rooms.
• Assist with training junior technicians and on-call rotation coverage.
• Deliver, retrieve, decontaminate and re-assemble patient equipment as needed.
