Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus one year of allied/clinical healthcare education.
• Certified by CBSPD or IAHCSMM or must obtain within one year of hire date.
• Minimum of one year experience in Sterile Processing or related healthcare role.
• Ability to follow English oral and written instructions and perform basic math.
• Ability to lift and move supplies with team assistance and use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, prepares, assembles and sterilizes instruments according to standards.
• Identifies, documents and reports equipment in need of repair and coordinates maintenance.
• Loads, operates and monitors cleaning/sterilization equipment and machinery.
• Maintains records of equipment; orders supplies as needed; ensures quality control.
• Adheres to safety, infection control and hospital policies; supports department goals.
