Tufts Medicine seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to handle decontamination, assembly and sterilization of hospital instruments. Responsibilities include receiving soiled items, selecting cleaning methods, and ensuring packaging integrity.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Central Services Technician Certification (CRCST/CBSPD) within 12 months.
Two years of Central Processing experience.

Responsabilités

Receive soiled, used, and contaminated equipment and document arrival and cleaning in asset tracking software.
Disassemble items as needed and select appropriate cleaning method.
Identify items needing repair and maintain information during cleaning.
Use manual cleaning tools to decontaminate instruments and supplies.
Operate automated cleaners and load cycles with proper documentation.
Document all work in instrument tracking software and verify functionality.
Inspect and assemble equipment, verify items are complete and current.
Package items with appropriate materials and labels, then transport to sterilization.
