Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Sterile Processing Instrument Technician II to join the team. Under supervision, you will clean, inspect, test, and assemble instruments for high level disinfection or sterilization, adhering to Manufacturer's Instructions for Use and hospital policies.

You will maintain written and electronic logs, prioritize processing, and assist with dispatch of instruments and PPE. CRCST or CSPDT certification is required, with at least 6 months of sterile processing experience

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• Basic computer skills.
• PPE use and safety.
• Ability to interact with staff across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Follow decontamination, processing, high level disinfection and sterilization procedures.
• Maintain documentation in logs or computer systems.
• Prioritize instrumentation for processing and dispatch supplies.
• Answer telephones and coordinate instrument and equipment movement.
