Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, clean, and sterilize instruments and equipment used in patient care. You will assemble instrument trays, build surgical cases, and ensure proper documentation of sterilization processes in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements include 2 years of Central Service experience; high school diploma or GED; CRCST certification preferred and must be obtained within the first year of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 2 years Central Service experience required.
• CRCST certification preferred; must be obtained within the first year of hire.
• Knowledge of sterilization processes and instrument tracking.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean and disinfect instruments and equipment.
• Assemble instrument trays and packs.
• Operate sterilizers and document loads.
• Build surgical case carts and respond to OR requests.
• Maintain records and inventory; follow infection control practices.
