Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, clean, assemble, sterilize and distribute medical devices used in patient care. You will support surgical case carts and maintain inventory in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, 6–12 months in sterile processing, and certification options such as CER or CRCST preferred. This is a full-time on-site role with adherence to OSHA standards and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 6–12 months of sterile processing experience preferred.
• HSPA CER or CRCST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and cleans reusable equipment/instruments in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Assembles, sterilizes, stores and distributes medical devices for patient care.
• Organizes and dispatches surgical case carts based on physician preference cards.
• Monitors PAR levels and collaborates with Material Management on inventory usage and storage.
• Communicates effectively across departments and protects patient confidentiality.
• Adheres to all policies and regulatory requirements.
