Job summary

Pellahealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean instruments and equipment, prepare packs, and sterilize supplies used across the facility.

You will document and store records, perform routine linen handling, and contribute to a busy team with strong attention to safety and quality. A High School diploma and IAHCSMM certification are required; if not certified on hire, certification must occur within two years. English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Current IAHCSMM certification. If not certified upon hire, must certify within two years of hired date.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively as a member of a team.
• Ability to maintain composure in a busy working environment.
• Must possess those technical and critical thinking skills required to complete the duties as described in this job description.

Responsibilities

• Clean instruments, equipment and other small medical items used throughout the facility.
• Prepare packs and sterilize instruments and supplies.
• Document and store records, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform routine monthly and quarterly cleaning, folding and storing linen.
