Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking a Central Sterile Tech I to support the sterile processing area on the Northside campus. You will help assemble, decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments, and ensure timely availability of instrument sets for procedures.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma, plus completion of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program or equivalent experience in Central Sterile processing.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of program graduate, prior experience as Central Sterile or Surgical Tech required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing instruments in a timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment.

Education
