Piedmont Columbus Northside in Columbus, GA seeks a Central Sterile Processing/Surgical Tech to ensure sterile instrument sets and equipment are prepared accurately and on schedule. You will support the Perioperative team by maintaining decontamination, inspection and storage standards while upholding patient safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of program, prior Central Sterile/Surgical Tech experience required.
• Prior sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment.
• Maintains consistent workflow and provides superior customer service.
