Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification in Central Sterile Processing preferred (CRTS/CBSPD/CSPDT).

Responsibilities

• Sort, decontaminate and clean instruments, equipment, and devices according to guidelines.
• Operate washer decontamination equipment following infection control principles.
• Assemble instrument trays using content lists for accuracy.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and function and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Sterilize or disinfect instruments following manufacturer instructions using appropriate methods.
• Configure sterilizer equipment settings for correct time and temperature.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and storage for sterile material handling.
• Deliver sterilized items to designated storage locations.
