Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing professional to manage decontamination, instrument preparation, sterilization, and supply distribution.

You will work to ensure all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for procedures while maintaining patient safety protocols. Responsibilities include asset tracking, using Epic OpTime to access procedure lists, and upholding high standards of quality and service for the surgical team and patients

Qualifications

• Computer entry skills
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Collects soiled case carts from end users, breaking down instruments and ensuring cart is clean, disinfected, and properly functioning for next case.
• Identifies and utilizes appropriate methods and solutions to sort, disassemble, decontaminate, rinse and disinfect instruments and clinical equipment.
• Operates multiple sterilizers, including steam, Pre-Vac, ethylene oxide, Steris and Sterrad safely and effectively.
• Knows location of all instrumentation and supplies in the department; responds to urgent requests; distributes and tracks supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, visitors and health care team members.
