Corewell Health is seeking a Part-time Instrument Processing & Sterilization technician at Troy Hospital. Responsibilities include inspecting, disinfecting, assembling, and distributing surgical instruments per AAMI standards, while maintaining high accuracy and timely service for the OR team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a sterile processing program, with CSPDT/CRCST certifications within 1 year. Evening shift, on-site at Troy, MI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required.
• Successful completion of sterile processing program (internal or external) Required.
• CSPDT - CBSPD certification required within 1 year.
• CRCST - IAHCSMM certification required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, disinfects, assembles, processes and distributes patient care instruments, equipment and supplies per policies and AAMI standards.
• Acts as a role model and resource to peers and health care team members.
• Stores, rotates and correctly labels all instruments and supplies.
• Prioritizes processing based on surgical schedules and physician needs.
• Monitors sterilization equipment and requests repairs as needed.
• Expertly assembles high-complexity trays like implants and ambulatory kits.
• Ensures timely, professional handling of customer area requests.
