BJC HealthCare (New) is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the Perioperative Services team in a fast‑paced hospital setting. The role covers decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of medical instruments to ORs and clinics across multiple locations.

You will work with a dedicated team to maintain instrument integrity, track sets, and support high‑level disinfection procedures. Scheduled shifts include days and nights with options for weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No Experience required.
• Licenses: Bd for Sterile Processing/Dist, CRCST, IAHCSMM.

Responsabilités

• Assembles and processes instrument sets, trays, supplies and linen for OR and clinics.
• Operates steam sterilizers and builds case carts for just‑in‑time delivery to procedural areas.
• Disassembles, decontaminates, inspects and disinfects a variety of complex surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• Documents set contents and completion for all trays per protocols using the instrument tracking system.
• Transports case carts while avoiding cross‑contamination and notifies leads of priority needs.
• Safety‑sensitive role requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.
