Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Tech to join our Dubuque hospital team. You will collect, decontaminate, inspect, process, assemble, and sterilize reusable instruments per TJC and AAMI standards, while maintaining strict infection control practices.

You will work with the electronic instrument tracking software and IFU systems, applying knowledge of steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilization methods to ensure safety and readiness of equipment for patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, decontaminate, inspect, process, assemble and sterilize reusable instruments per TJC and AAMI.
• Operate electronic instrument tracking software and IFU systems.
• Maintain knowledge of steam and hydrogen peroxide sterilization methods.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and hospital policies.
