Job summary

Sauk Prairie Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, prepare, sterilize, store, and distribute sterile instruments for the operating rooms and clinics.

The role involves maintaining Steris System I equipment and keeping meticulous records to ensure safety and efficiency. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in instrument processing, with certification in Sterile Processing achievable within the first two years.

Qualifications

• Experience in instrument processing.
• Certification in Sterile Processing from an approved program; required within the first 2 years in position.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare, sterilize, store, and distribute sterile instruments and reprocessed supplies to departments and clinics.
• Process and assemble instrument sets and sterilize instruments.
• Maintain records for sterilizers, Steris System I, and sterilization parameters.
• Assist with room turnover and terminal cleaning of the OR suite daily.
