Qualifications

• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification of Sterile Processing Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) prerequisite
• 2–4 years of experience in sterile processing or related area
• Knowledge of sterilization standards and procedures
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Strong written and verbal English for documentation
• Must be computer literate with basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Adheres to staffing schedules and attendance policy
• Team player; assist with retrieval of instruments for cases
• Participates in orientation and competency programs
• Maintains proper decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of instruments
• Maintains inventory of instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Ensures compliance with sterile processing policies and safety requirements
