Job summary

Kenmore Mercy Hospital is seeking a part-time Central Sterile Processing Technician for Evening shifts (3:00pm-11:00pm). You will wash and decontaminate instruments, retrieve and set up equipment, and support OR & L&D with timely sterilization and distribution.

The role requires a High School diploma, national CSS credentials or equivalent, and six months of processing/sterilization experience. CEU credits (10 hours/year) are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass a nationally accredited central service exam and hold a CSS credential.
• All hires must complete CEU credits annually (10 hours).
• Six months of processing/sterilization experience required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and decontaminate instruments and equipment.
• Retrieve, set up, test and distribute instruments from OR & L&D.
• Assemble, wrap and sterilize house, general and specialty trays.
• Operate cycle documentation and quality assurance of reprocessing equipment.
• Manage in-stock inventory and various carts.
