Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to join the SJH site in Tampa. This role handles decontamination, prep, packaging and sterilization of instrumentation, following department procedures, and may serve as a preceptor to staff.

Must be a high school graduate; certification is preferred, and hospital experience is preferred. The role requires commitment to certification within 24 months of hire and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent required.
• Preferred - Certified Sterile Processing Tech.
• Preferred - Hospital Experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the decontamination, prepping, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department following established department procedures.
• Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.
