Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for the full-time evening shift (2:30pm–11:00pm). You will perform instrument scanning, wrapping, decontamination, and load tracking to ensure safe, efficient sterilization processes.

Position requires a high school diploma and preferably 1 year in sterile processing; CSPDT/CBSPD/CRCST certifications upon hire. Texas Health offers strong benefits, 401k, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year sterile processing experience preferred
• CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician upon hire required OR CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution upon hire required OR CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician upon hire required

Responsibilities

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label
• Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays
• Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/trays
• Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the SPM system
• Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure
• Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers and Emergency Eyewash and Shower
• Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method
• Scans prepared items into correct sterilizer load
