HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgery. You will work with nurses and surgeons to support safe, efficient procedures.

You will monitor sterilization cycles, organize instrument trays, and handle biohazardous materials following safety standards. A High School diploma and CSPDT or CRCST certification within 2 years is required.

Qualifikationen

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
