Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support Endoscopy and perioperative areas. You will ensure instrumentation is sterile, prepare equipment, and assist in selecting instruments for procedures across perioperative areas.

The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and collaboration with OR staff; the shift is 6:30AM–3:00PM, Sunday through Thursday. A high school diploma or GED and sterile processing credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Sterile processing experience preferred or current enrollment in a sterile processing program.
• Hands-on experience in instrument processing, decontamination and sterilization preferred.
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician credentials are a plus.
• Attention to safety and regulatory standards in sterile environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Performs, documents and monitors quality control tools.
• Receives and inventories departmental supplies, instrumentation and equipment.
• Prepares instrumentation for high-level disinfection and sterilization for perioperative areas.
• Operates departmental equipment safely and effectively.
• Scans and assembles instrumentation according to procedures.
• Assists in selecting instruments for Endoscopy Procedures across perioperative areas.
