Job summary

NYU Langone Florida seeks a Central Sterile Technician for the West Palm Beach SPD Day Shift. You will handle decontamination, assembly, and delivery of sterile instruments, maintain inventory, and support infection control across the sterile processing area.

The role requires a high school diploma and CBSPD certification; provisional certification is acceptable with 400 hours of hands-on training. Full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CBSPD Central Sterile Certification (CRCST/CER/CFER) or equivalent licenses.
• Provisional certification acceptable; 400 hours of hands-on training advised.
• Knowledge of sterile processing concepts and infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of decontamination, disinfection and cleaning methods.
• Performs and documents quality assurance processes per protocol.
• Transports and stocks sterile packages; manages instrument tracking system entries.
• Inspects major surgical instruments and assists in preparation and packaging.
• Maintains infection control during transfer, storage and transport of supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
