Job summary

The Elliot 1 Day Surgery Center in Manchester, New Hampshire, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join its Per diem day shift team.

Responsible for decontamination, preparation and sterilization of supplies and instruments, you will operate steam, sterrad, washer decontaminators and maintain records.

Requirements include a High school diploma and Medical Technician Certification from NH; 1–3 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Technician Certification from the State of New Hampshire required, unless other NH license is held.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare and sterilize equipment and supplies per AAMI standards.
• Operate steam, Sterrad sterilizer, washer decontaminators and ultrasonics.
• Record steam and Sterrad records and biological monitoring.
• Assemble and label instrument trays and linen packs; inspect, delint and fold as needed.
• Report malfunctioning or defective equipment to shift leader or manager immediately.
• Maintain good communication with the team and perform other duties as assigned.
