Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks a Sterile Processing Technician at the Ontario Medical Center. Responsibilities include decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and storage of reusable surgical instrumentation for operating rooms.

Ideal candidates will have attention to detail, be quick learners, and may pursue CRCST or CSPDT national certification. The role supports a 40-hour work week with day shifts and scheduled weekends, within a mission-driven health system

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified in a recognized Central service organization preferred.
• Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and package surgical instruments and re-usable instruments after procedures.
• Operate sterilization equipment including cart washers and steam sterilizers.
• Order and restock the surgery department with supplies and instruments.
• Maintain attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.
• Pursue CRCST or CSPDT national certification when possible.
