Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System's Boise Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, sterilize and store reusable surgical instruments for our OR teams.

The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, be a quick learner, and pursue CRCST or CSPDT certification; a High School Diploma is required and hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and package surgical instruments, specialty sets and other re-usable instruments.
• Operate sterilization equipment including cart washer, washer disinfectors, steam sterilizers, other sterilizers, heat sealers, and Sterris machines.
• Prepare surgical case carts and respond to requests for instrumentation and /or supplies for surgical procedures.
• Order and restock the surgery department with supplies and instruments.
