Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the Evening 3-11 shift at Douglas Hospital. You will process, sterilize and organize instruments, maintain sterilizer equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards across CSS and perioperative areas.

The role requires at least 1 year of sterile processing experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to work with OR staff to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• One year Sterile Processing experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize instruments per hospital protocols.
• Handle and store sterile items according to policy.
• Monitor sterilizers and document results and maintenance.
• Coordinate with Operating Room and supply staff for timely turnover.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of Central Sterile Supply (CSS) areas.
