Job summary

Phoebe Putney Health System is seeking a Central Supply Technician to receive, decontaminate and clean instruments and patient equipment. The role prepares, wraps and sterilizes instruments and linen packs, and ensures supplies are ready for surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and CRCST certification within 12 months of hire. Prior central supply experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• CRCST certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• 0-1 year Central Supply experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, decontaminate and clean patient equipment.
• Prepare instruments for sterilization and wrap/sterilize as needed.
• Test equipment to ensure proper function.
• Document processes and data accurately and timely.
• Assemble and stock specialty carts for procedures.
• Maintain and operate central supply equipment; troubleshoot issues.
