Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Sterile Supply Technician - Central Sterile Supply to perform routine sterilization-related tasks in a hospital setting. This entry-level role supports patient safety under supervision and assists with instrument decontamination and preparation.

Responsibilities include cleaning, inspecting, sorting and sterilizing instruments, assembling sets, and maintaining records. Shift is third with 40 hours weekly; background check and potential drug screen may apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, sort and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Decontaminate reusable instruments and complete post-decontamination responsibilities.
• Assemble instrument sets and peel pack/wrap instruments for sterilization.
• Prepare trays for sterilization and ensure proper storage.
• Complete the sterilization process and maintain eyewash stations and records.
• Work under supervision of senior sterile processing staff and leadership.
