Job summary

Pacer Group in Boston, MA is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) for an on-site contract role. Shifts are 5x8 (Day, Evening, or Night) with 1–2 years of sterile processing experience and active BLS plus CRCST or CBSPD certification.

You will sterilize instruments, prepare trays, reset instrument sets, decontaminate equipment, maintain stock in Central Sterile, and coordinate repair needs with supervision. This is a hands-on, on-site opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience needed.
• Active BLS and CRCST or CBSPD required.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended sterilization practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Processes specialty and general instruments.
• Resets instrument sets without error, decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure.
• Maintains Central Sterile Department stock levels.
• Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
• Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.
