Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville, TN is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the 2nd shift to support perioperative operations and ensure instruments are sterile and ready for use.

The role requires prior sterile processing experience, with responsibilities spanning disinfection, sterilization, inventory, and instrument preparation to support Endoscopy and other perioperative areas.

Qualifications

• Prior Sterile Processing experience or current enrollment in a Sterile Processing program with clinical rotations.
• Experience in instrument processing, decontamination and sterilization preferred.
• Familiarity with AER, HLD, and surgical instrument sets is required or advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Perform quality control checks and document results.
• Receive, inventory, and prepare instrumentation and equipment.
• Prepare instruments per procedures for high-level disinfection and sterilization.
• Operate departmental equipment safely and effectively; assist in Endoscopy procedure support.
