Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech for the 2nd shift in Nashville. The role supports perioperative services by ensuring sterile instrumentation is prepared and ready for Endoscopy procedures, while maintaining a safe and controlled work environment.

You will perform quality control, inventory management, and assist in selecting appropriate instruments for Endoscopy, under supervision. Prior sterile processing exposure is welcomed, with comprehensive on‑the‑job training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience specified.
• Endoscopy/sterile processing knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Performs, documents and monitors quality control tools.
• Receives and inventories supplies, instrumentation and equipment.
• Prepares instrumentation and equipment for high-level disinfection and sterilization.
• Operates departmental equipment safely and effectively.
• Scans instrumentation and assembles according to procedures.
• Provides technical support and assists in selecting instruments for Endoscopy procedures.
