Jackson Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, decontaminate, reprocess, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment. The role ensures all instrumentation is safe and ready for procedures.
The position requires sterile processing or peri-op experience and a high school diploma or GED. One year of advanced education or medical training is preferred, and the schedule includes FT 2:30pm - 11:00 pm, Monday to Friday with weekend rotation.

Under the direction of the unit team leader, the Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) receives, decontaminates, reprocesses, and distributes surgical instruments and equipment; maintains associated equipment and assures instrumentation and equipment is safe and ready for surgical procedures. Performs other unit functions appropriate to the position, and in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Sterile Processing or peri-op experience required. High School diploma or G.E.D required. One year of advanced education or medical training preferred, i.e., college or technical school courses or job-related training.
